DOC 2018 speakers now confirmed!
Will there still be a superannuation industry in 2040? This might sound like an absurd question, but dismiss it at your peril. If superannuation is to survive and thrive over the next 20 years, it needs to face up to some harsh realities: the onslaught of mass retirees, an erosion of trust in financial institutions and a technological transformation sweeping the services sector.
This year’s SuperRatings and Lonsec Day of Confrontation asks: Are we headed for more of the same, something different, or nothing at all? To answer this question, we will explore the three critical challenges facing superannuation: culture, engagement and regulation.
We are excited to announce two major speakers for this year’s DOC to help us tackle these important issues, The Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP, Minister for Revenue and Financial Services, will lay out the government’s vision for superannuation and the future of regulatory reform.
Brendon Gale, CEO of the Richmond Football Club, will talk about the importance of creating a winning culture in a ruthlessly competitive environment.
Finally, we will put the super industry to the test with a live, on-stage focus group to understand how people on the street perceive the industry.
Watch this short video below with Kirby Rappell, Chief Executive Officer, SuperRatings, to get a taste of what happened at last year’s event.
