Christine’s past career experience lists many years as a paralegal, major event organiser for the Festival of Sydney, and a TV producer. This led into General Manager roles in both the Importing and Licensed Product industries, managing all facets of the businesses including marketing and financial control.
Christine is an Executive Member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia and her history in the Not For Profit sector spans some 20 years with various long term voluntary roles in service delivery, and fundraising. Serving on various committees with a number of charities, she has also been a Board Member of the charity Aunties and Uncles for the past 8 years.
Initially volunteering for Youth Off The Streets organising fundraising events, Christine joined the full time staff in 2002 and eventually moved into the role of Group Manager – Corporate Services & Development with an overall goal of meeting the increasing Youth Off The Streets annual budget. The organisation’s ‘continuum of care’ programs regularly grow to support young people who are dealing with issues of homelessness, abuse and neglect, drug and alcohol dependency and general disconnectedness.
